The healthful, delicious breakfast buffet in the lovely hotel restaurant was appreciated. Accessible facilities are available in the public areas – wheelchair users can use the ramp outside the main entrance and can use the lift to access the restaurant and bar. This stunning art deco inspired interior of the restaurant- located in the heart of Mayfair. Buckingham Palace can be reached in an eight-minute walk, while Hyde Park is 10 minutes away. Flemings Mayfair has the best of both worlds: it’s in the heart of Mayfair, just a two-minute walk from Green Park tube station. Live music was playing. The décor of the hotel combines Georgian elegance with contemporary style, creating stunning public areas and charming bedrooms. Green Park Underground Station is just 350 yards from the property, whilst the shopping of Bond Street and Oxford Circus is just a short walk away. As I checked in I was greeted by name, and each time I entered the breakfast room I was also greeted by name. The Drawing Room welcomes guests and visitors to enjoy light refreshments and beverages all day or to imbibe wine and champagne at its small bar. Executive King rooms are very spacious for London, and come with lounge areas with plush curved sofas; the slight difference in price from the doubles (about £30) means it's very much worth the upgrade. I will soon be back to stay when I work nearby and we have planned stays with the family in summer and at Christmas for some shows and shopping. The classic room was on the small side but very clean and well equipped. The Rosette-winning restaurant at the Mayfair hotel, The Grill, offers Modern European dishes, friendly service and a relaxed ambience and can be privately hired for up to 80 people. Booked a " Harrods shopping package". Some of the dishes that wowed me during my visit include a lovely heritage beetroot sorbet – dressed in edible flowers – that emerged in a waft of dry ice smoke (it had been encased in a glass cloche), and a sumptuous Scottish halibut with cockles that had been flavoured with sea vegetables instead of salt.
